Copy Considerations:

Are you maximizing the benefits of your copy assets?

Try to examine all of the various ways that your copy assets integrate into your business model.
Make sure it is called for, or sent at the right time, to the right targeted people.
It has to educate, encourage and excite visitors or end users to take a specific action.
Cover enough information to eliminate questions and minimize customer support demands.
Evaluate if this same piece of copy can be utilized in different formats for other en devours.
Verify that your companies interests are still covered while satisfying the customers needs?

Is the material complete and accurate?

Numero uno - Run a spell checker!
Verify that all links work, and any html coding has been validated.
Anytime you see a number, verify it's reasonableness if not it's accuracy.
Ensure resources are given to point the reader in the right direction for further information,
like emergency situation contingencies.
The material should give more than just one side of the story.
Have plenty of warnings and safety notices.

Consider Human Factors and Search Engines.

Have plenty of white-space so it is easier to read.
Colors and graphics should enhance not distract.
The main thing SE's want is for a page to be a relevant resource to the keywords.
In other words, the better the experience that a visitor will have at that site,
the higher the ranking will be.
Use the right keywords in meta tags and page text headers.
Develop strategies to create links on other relevant quality sites to your page.

An originator knows what they meant to say,
an independent review will clear up errors and misunderstandings
before they have a chance to cause a real hardship.
